TELLY chef Gino D’Acampo is to be quizzed by Australian RSPCA officers after killing a bush rat and cooking it for supper.

The hot-headed Italian, 33, is stuck in the exile camp where he and some of the other stars are seriously hungry. So yesterday he took matters into his own hands.

When a rat was spotted in the wilds, he grabbed it, killed it with his kitchen knife, skinned it and made it into a meal.

A spokesman for the RSPCA in Murwillumbah said: “We will look into this and see if there is a cruelty case to answer. We will need to find out if the rat was killed humanely.

“There are also rules and regulations about animals being killed for TV filming.”

Gino had warned TV chiefs that he would not let the celebs starve and would make his own “rat-atouille” if necessary. He said: “In exile camp there have been a few rats running around. They will soon become dinner.”

When the bitchy model spotted Justin Ryan cooking some sausages over the camp fire, she sniggered: “That’s not a bad size sausage.”

Justin, 42, replied: “Are you kidding me? This is tiny.” And Kate confided: “I’ve been with men a lot smaller than that.” Gay designer Justin exclaimed: “Oh god, I’d have been well pee-ed off with that size!”

HOLLYOAKS hunk Stuart Manning, 30, made it to base camp last night after winning the first bush battle – to stop water leaking from a cylinder.

n JOE Bugner, 59, upset Stuart, 30, by saying he would never make it in Hollywood.

Then he told Sabrina Washington, 31, that she was stupid and finally clashed with Justin following a cooking disaster in camp.

CELEB cleaner Kim Woodburn, 67, reckons there are few friends among the contestants. She predicted: “There are four people who’ll stab you in the back to win!”
